lazy suz

We love to use our lazy susan's (from IKEA) at beehive..
sometimes with watercolor paint, sometimes with crayons or colored pencils.
This time we used markers and boy do they make me smile.

My friend Susanna showed me this colorful tidbit,
I always love love love it, and the best part is...  kids love it even more.

Way cool and colorful diamond crayons from Todd Oldham’s Kid Made Modern collection,

Postage

I have been going through my archives this past month as part of my spring cleanse.
I found this worn envelope I saved,
that I loved for it's colorful stamps, postage marks and beautiful handwriting.
I ordered fantastic calendars from Flora Douville that traveled in this envelope,
pleasing the eyes of many who caught a glimpse.

Glass Stones on Wood

I'm not the only one who loves
the look and feel of these
 small glass stones on
pastel / painted wood pieces.
We also used crayon shavings
for additional  texture and color.

Nicey.

Portfolios

We're wrapping up the Early Spring Session this week,
which means the sorting and sifting of artwork in many mediums.
And LOTS of it!

Here, the Tuesday 5-9's class paintings,
sitting upon portfolios on the gallery floor
 (mid stream sorting).
