beehive ARTbox

MINI MOUSE HOUSE - create a world of miniatures
ART CLOCK - design your own clock
BUILD - construct a wood sculpture, structure, building, landscape
CREATE -  mixed media collage on frames, cards+tags, mini masterpieces

Wow-za! We are so excited about the great ARTbox response we've had!  We've been shipping  ARTboxes all over the country and beyond.
A smile comes to my face when I think about all of the children who have received
ARTboxes this  holiday season!  I love sending them out, spreading a piece of
beehive ART to those who cannot visit the studio. No two ARTboxes are the same, every box has a little BEEHIVE surprise. Each ARTbox is prepped and packed at the beehive studio.

We've got more up our sleeves..   get your ART!

puppets+puppet theaters+pocket books

I've had the pleasure of creating puppets with a
great group of children in an after school program.
We started with canvas puppets, sharpie and paints.
Added wooden features and canvas hairdos.
The theaters are a favorite combo of oil pastel / watercolor resist
on cardboard with more painted cardboard and wood shapes
The cherry on top was the puppet pocket book,
 illustrated books about the puppets.

spin shells

SPIN art is always a HUGE hit at beehive and
spinning these shells was especially fun!

I glued the shells onto a matt board base prior to spinning.
After the spin paint has dried you can color and paint the base.

yay!

The Nod Bookmobile

WE were honored to have these lovely ladies and
The Nod Bookmobile visit the studio this weekend.

The bus is loaded with fun games, toys, books, pillows, poofs,  rugs and tee pee.
Jen and Tatiana work their magic to create the most inviting
magical setting for children of all ages.

Story time, campfire, s'mores, bag races and lots of super hero fun was had.
Little Golden books were sold to benefit Milk and Bookies, a non profit organization that donates books to children in need.

And they're off to spread more magic and wonder.

 So long Nod Bookmobile !
