Stick With Me
This song has been swimming through my head for days.
This couple is so super talented and spirited, I cannot get enough of their sound.

Peach Torte
I brought home a huge basket of local peaches from the farm yesterday.
Now that Irene has me indoors, I am baking up a storm... until the power goes out.
This is a favorite family treat, takes a little time to make
and your entire house smells YUM.
Fruit Torte
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch o'salt
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time.

Add dry ingredients, blend well.
Spread batter into a spring form or square glass 9" pan.
Cover batter with sliced fruit.
Sprinkle cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice.
Bake about 1/2 hour at 350.
voila!
It will be gone in split seconds.

The Girls
Lauren and Amanda have worked at Beehive since we opened our doors 3 years ago.
We have learned LOTS together...
they taught me a thing or two about stuff and life
and being a senior in high school.
I like to think I shed a little light on their lives as well.
I will miss working with them, their smiles and constant chatter, their jokes and stories,
their wonderful ways with the children.
It's time for them to set off and spread their genuine loveliness elsewhere.
I miss you already... come visit when you can!

summer bowl
Summer breakfast fruit bowl... mango, peach, strawberry and grape with organic slivered
almonds & coconut flakes & lemon.
I sprinkled a spoonful of CHIA seeds in my bowl...YUM!
This reminds me, I will be shopping at
today to replenish my pantry. It is a gift to yourself to walk through the door,
shop the organic produce, peruse the isles and check out what's cooking.
I just LOVE Debra's.. and my breakfast!

PIN THIS
It's been a week of sorting, sifting, stacking and sewing. I'm playing with colorful combinations of textures, pattern and shapes. The studio is empty except for me, my machine, my music and piles of my favorite fabrics. I'm savoring every minute.

These fun stamps are carved from erasers!
I like the shapes of the actual stamps
and colorful stamped images with the added marker details.

MAGIC BUS
LET'S just say that if I was going to attend the
5-9yr.old Expanded ART class on Tuesdays
at Beehive, my mom would be dropping me off in this rig.
In fact, I think I can see us jumping around in the back seat!

In fact, I think I can see us jumping around in the back seat!
I can remember the smell of the bus, the great view, our dogs in the back,
getting my finger caught in the door and my mom driving to the train station.
We loved this bus. My dad, however, was livid it didn't fit in our garage.
Oopsie.
