wooden fish and watercolors

This is one of my favorite projects from summer art.
We had a school of these wooden fish
and painted them up with watercolors and tiny brushes.
We couldn't stop there,
they wriggled onto painted bases attached with wire.

watercolor + color pencil

Two of my favorite mediums,
tried and true over and over.
Always fresh and always vibrant,
 I love the combination.
We paint lots of small watercolors at beehive.

After mounting them,
we played with the pencil and a little sharpie marker.
