PAPER Lanterns

We made these gorgeous paper lanterns last week during All Things Paper.
Three layers (let each layer dry over night)  of white tissue brushed onto a balloon with mostly white glue thinned with water. The last layer we added was a glittered white tissue.   
We had 3 ft. dowels (we've used long sticks which I still think is my fav) and wrapped them up with colored tissue strips.


Bakers twine, a needle and some clever stitching secured the lantern to the dowel. 


Beautiful, delicate, glowing orbs.. my summertime favorite.

TWO KIDS IN A CAR

This set me straight all day.
These two kids fell in love with Gotye's song and video, and requested the song be played over and over. 
Their parents set up a camera in the car and 
over a few cars rides and many punch buggies they created this clip.
