This fine idea comes from my hero over at Made by Joel.
IF you have yet to visit his incredible and creative world you must.. right now.. really!
Many fairy house were created at the studio this spring, here is a glimpse of just a few.
There were flower boxes, door bells, windows with curtains, lampshades, mirrors, fruit baskets, dog beds, rugs, wallpaper ... i just wanted to move in and make myself at home. THANKS Joel!
I'm thinking that Oliver Jeffers is the most talented painter, illustrator and writer EVER! His intricate drawings, along with clever collage, painting, interesting bits of text and beautiful story all work together to create the most amazing works of art. Whenever I read either of these books at Beehive, I instantly want to become part of the story and crawl right onto the page.
The Heart and the Bottle andThe Incredible Book Eating Boy are in my collection, and if they're not in yours, hop on over to here to shop, peruse, and gasp (like me). You will be glad you did.
Lilia and Marly Jane (respectively in self portraits and photo ) have been coming to Beehive since we opened our doors. We love love love these girls and they have a really good time creating the most amazing art... purses, puppets, puppies and self portraits. When I hear them giggle and chat across the room I smile BIG..... and then I wish MY sister was by my side.
I just found these stools created Ingrid Jansen of Wood and Wool from the Netherlands.
I love how the colors and contrasting textures of the warm worn wood against the tidy colorful stitches. I'd like one in each room please.. or maybe a row on my front porch. You can oogle here.
