Lilia and Marly Jane (respectively in self portraits and photo ) have been coming to Beehive since we opened our doors. We love love love these girls and they have a really good time creating the most amazing art... purses, puppets, puppies and self portraits. When I hear them giggle and chat across the room I smile BIG..... and then I wish MY sister was by my side.
I just found these stools created Ingrid Jansen of Wood and Wool from the Netherlands.
I love how the colors and contrasting textures of the warm worn wood against the tidy colorful stitches. I'd like one in each room please.. or maybe a row on my front porch. You can oogle here.
Summer ART 2011 begins this week with Early Bird ART. Specifically for Pre-K, 3/4-5 year olds, Early Bird is an exciting studio art program that bridges the gap between the end of pre-K and the beginning of summer activities.
I say.. Bring it ON! ..and stay tuned for some very colorful sneak peeks!
My most favorite June flower, it's lovely fragrance, beauty color and the miraculous bloom year after year. You are worth every snow storm, snow pile and every bitter, icy cold day.
My sweet friend Ali wanted to host an ART PARTY at Beehive for her friends Allison and Julia, and all of their (7 total) girls. Ali's girls (top photo) have been (mostly) in and out of the studio for years, their friends were new to the studio and were in for a surprise! It was an evening to cherish, all girls enjoyed each others ART, laughter, love and big hugs. I enjoyed meeting these very special people and sharing my studio space with them. I cannot wait for them to return.Thank you Ali...xo
