I found these Wooly Baby slippers over at Poppytalk.
Handmade from upcycled wool sweaters and leather jackets,
it doesn't get any better than this!
I don't know which pair I'd choose.
Scrumptious slippers for tiny, medium and mommy piggies.

The Obvious Child

You can be certain that when this plays at the studio,
we take a moment to turn it up, grab the closest drum stick and jam along.
I love it, the children love it.. thank you Paul Simon.

Paper Houses

We designed these paper house (lanterns) for an event in Boston last spring.
I have been wanting to make them with the children at Beehive since.
It's a tricky project with precise cutting of dowels and paper,
the Advanced Art Exploration Class ( 9-14 yrs) was a perfect fit.
A sneak peak today of the materials, pattern, and assemblage.

roller prints

We've been getting busy printing..
this time with big grooved wooden rollers and rolling pins.
The blending of textures and color is exquisite,
not to mention a whole lotta, lotta fun!

Richard Scarry

Now this explains my toadstool obsession. As a child, I loved this book. It was always included in my pile of books to read before I went to sleep. Over and over and over. It's a board book so it held up with all the loving. Of course,  I had to have it for E & G, and have given it to many friends over the years.
But the best thing is that I know exactly where to find my copy at my mom's house.

Toadstools

I've been fascinated by the incredible toadstools I've come across the past few weeks. I'm especially keen on the way they shoot right up through the pine needles, moss, bark and fern in their varied shapes, sizes, colors and textures.
I think I'd like to set up shop under one and call it a day.

heart on hill

We were lucky enough to catch this beauty on our way out of town last weekend, and reminded ourselves that we would stop on our way home to take a shot.
It happened to be fate or perfect timing or just life because the farmer and his friend were in full steam enhancing this piece of green art when we returned.
Thank you dear farmer and friend for your heart.
